Nordicom Inc., operating as SECURalert™, has been designing, testing, and manufacturing wireless communication and radio frequency (RF) solutions since 1993. Today, the company delivers its technologies worldwide through a growing network of partners and resellers.

In 1997, SECURalert expanded into wireless duress solutions, building on its expertise in paging and communication systems. Seeking to provide precise location awareness during emergencies, founder and CTO Luc Harbour developed one of the industry’s first hybrid wireless panic button technologies. This innovation led to the first generation of SECURalert Wireless Duress and Wireless Nurse Call solutions.

Today, SECURalert is a leading provider of wireless duress and staff safety solutions, trusted by thousands of organizations worldwide to protect workers and create safer environments.

YESTERDAY

SECURalert™ has been designing, testing and manufacturing RF solutions since 1993. The company sells its solutions worldwide through a growing network of resellers. In 1997, the company added a new wireless solutions to its line of paging systems and communication platforms. In a quest to pinpoint the exact location, Luc Harbor, Founder and CTO, researched and developed the world’s first hybrid wireless solution. A mesh network was created which led to the first generation of SECURalert™ Wireless Duress and Nurse Call Systems.

TODAY

Customer needs are changing, and interactions are increasingly complex. In 2022, after 2 years of intense R&D, SECURalert CLOUD and SECURalert RTLS are now commercially available. Over 30 years of experience culminated by the creation of a single infrastructure for the following systems: Real Time Location System (RTLS), Wireless Duress, Patient Wandering and Wireless Nurse Call.

GEN III

In the early 2020s, SECURalert introduced its third-generation LoRa platform in response to evolving industry requirements and advances in wireless technology. Leveraging long-range, low-power communications, Gen III delivers reliable duress protection, room-level accuracy, and simplified installation while reducing infrastructure requirements.
